  HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY The study of functioning of organs and organ systems is called human physiology. It is the science of studying human mechanical, physical and biochemical functions, and is the basis of modern medicine. As a discipline, it connects science, medicine, and health, and creates a framework to understand how the human body adapts to stress, physical activity, and disease.
